Awakening the world one soul at a time to the Truth that we are ALL One.
Welcome to Wolf and the Lamb. If you have landed here it is by Divine appointment. Something has called you to awaken and grow yourself, even in uncomfortable ways. Whether you are a bible person or not, there is a beautiful vision of Peace and Harmony painted in the book of Isaiah that goes like this:
"The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.”
This scripture can be interpreted literally or symbolically. Literally, the prophet Isaiah speaks of a prophetic place where all beings dwell safely together. It is a place of Peace, Harmony and Freedom. At our deepest soul level I believe that we yearn to manifest this place in our world. Metaphorically, the wolf represents humankind’s predatory nature and the lamb is our innocent, loving nature. When these two natures unify, we become whole and our child-like nature is restored. Or perhaps it is our child-like nature that will lead us to wholeness.
Our spiritual work is to restore our pre-conditioned, child-like nature as adults. This nature embodies Love, Peace and Harmony. To do this we must be willing to awaken, venture into places that are uncomfortable and be brave enough to let go of past behaviors and limiting, conditioned thinking. When we restore ourselves as Love, Peace and Harmony, we bring Love, Peace and Harmony to all of the world.
For the spiritually-minded:
This is a blog for the spiritually minded person who is seeking wholeness and awakening to his/her kinship and connection with all sentient beings. We spiritually minded people hold dear to our hearts the values of Love, Compassion, Peace, Oneness and Freedom. We meditate. We connect with the Divine through prayer. We embrace the ideal of Love. Yet like all people, we too are blind to what we cannot see. Most of us unconsciously participate in violence on a daily basis, which is contrary to the values we hold dear. Here is a place to awaken in ways we may not yet have imagined, to listen to our hearts and widen our circle of Compassion to include all sentient beings. Our hearts will reveal to us that if we truly want to establish a world of Love and Peace, we must lay down our predatory natures and be loving and non-violent towards ALL.
For the animal advocate:
Here also is a place for the animal activist who knows in his/her heart that our movement is fundamentally about Love and Compassion and that there truly is only one way to achieve our vision of a world that values animals as beings with intrinsic value. We must be a movement of Peace. We must be a movement of Love. We cannot create a world that values all sentient beings while being hateful and violent in our language toward our fellow humans.
We who know the suffering of the animals, are challenged to find Compassion and Understanding in our hearts for those who perpetrate cruelty and violence. But our hearts will reveal to us that if we truly want to establish a peaceful world for the animals, we must be loving and non-violent towards ALL.
